The main objective of this agreement is to help MIS students bridge the gap between academic theory and practice. OpenWay and Banking Academy will jointly implement projects for 14 banks and financial institutions who are OpenWay clients in Vietnam.

The cooperation consists of two initiatives: support of talented MIS students and the creation of a research center.

Between 2019-2020, OpenWay and MIS will start the Scholarship Fund and Internship Program to benefit excellent students who have a passion for IT and banking.

OpenWay and Banking Academy will also jointly launch the Digital Banking Lab Research Center. The center will focus on studies about artificial intelligence, cloud computing and information systems in the payment industry.

“OpenWay highly appreciates the trust of Banking Academy. We will do our best to contribute to the growing payment community in Vietnam and build a successful career foundation for MIS students,” states Nguyen Manh Ha, Country Director of OpenWay Vietnam.

As the next step, OpenWay and Banking Academy will create a detailed plan for achieving cooperation milestones: a roadmap, reporting methods, and interaction with third parties such as the Payment Department at State Bank of Vietnam.
